FatPassport Privacy Policy

FatPassport Inc. operates the www.fatpassport.com website (the "Site"). We want you to know how and when we collect and use information that can specifically indentify you, such as your name and email address ("personal information.") By accessing the Site, you acknowledge that you understand FatPassport's privacy policy, and freely consent to the information collection and usage as described in this statement.

We do not require that you provide, nor do we collect, any personal information if you are just browsing the Site.

We encourage users to register with the Site, in order to participate in the FatPassport user community and to enhance your experience. If you register, we collect your email address for authentication purposes, and to enable us to communicate with you. FatPassport may use your email address to contact you with various updates, to present to you new services or promotions; to survey you in order to improve our service; or to deliver a newsletter if you have indicated that you would like to receive it.

Your email address will not be intentionally disclosed to other FatPassport users, or to any third parties. However, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information, as unauthorized use of the system (e.g. by "hackers"), system failures, or other unanticipated or unintentional actions could compromise security of your personal information. If you cannot accept this risk, then you should not register with the site.

When you register you will select a screen name, which we advise should not include your real name. It is your responsibility to select a screen name which will not enable other users of the Site to identify you, if you so desire.

The site may provide a facility for you to exchange email with other users. This facility is an internal system which will not intentionally divulge the actual email address of either sender or receiver. The Site may also provide the ability for you to be notified when another user wishes to compliment you on a review or other content you have submitted. The sender will not have visibility to your email address.

FatPassport may periodically extend offers or promotions. In order to participate in these offers or promotions, you may be asked to provide additional information, such as your mailing address, so that items that you purchase or are awarded can be sent to you. In such cases, we do not share your mailing address or other details with third parties unless otherwise indicated.

The Site may utilize third party technology to track site usage, and to track utilization of third party links and advertisements. To our knowledge, this tracking technology does not track any of your personal information. FatPassport Inc. may use third party advertising companies and services to serve ads on the Site. These companies may track and/or use anonymous information about your visits to our website and other websites, but to our knowledge will not collect any information which can personally identify you or be linked to you. FatPassport reserves the right to share aggregated site statistics with partner companies.

FatPassport Inc. will not knowingly disclose your personal information to any third party unless (1) it is necessary in order to provide you with a Service you have requested; (2) it is required in order to comply with a legal process (e.g. court order, subpoena, search warrant, or law enforcement request) in any applicable jurisdiction; (3) it is required in order to support a merger, acquisition, or liquidation of the company; or (4) FatPassport determines at its sole discretion that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, and safety of FatPassport Inc.

When you visit the Site, we may track information to administer the site and analyze its usage. These automated server functions do not collect this information in a manner intended to identify you, nor do we use this information for any such purpose. This information is collected to assist us in maintaining a high quality site, and to provide necessary traffic information for advertisers. Examples of information we may track include:

Your IP address
The kind of browser or computer you use
Number of links you click within the Site
State or country from which you accessed the Site
Data and time that you accessed various pages
Name of your Internet Service Provider
Web page you linked to our Site from
Pages you viewed on the Site

The Site contains links to web sites of third parties. FatPassport is not responsible for the actions of these third parties, including their privacy practices and any content posted on their web sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies to learn more about what, why, and how they collect and use any personal information.

FatPassport adheres to industry recognized standards to secure any personal information in our possession, and to secure it from unauthorized access and tampering. However, as is true with all online actions, it is possible that third parties may unlawfully intercept transmission of personal information, or other users of the site may misuse or abuse your personal information that they may collect from the Site. If you cannot accept this risk, then you should not use the site.

If you purchase a product or service from a FatPassport advertiser or partner referred from the Site, this transaction will be between you and the third party, and FatPassport has no visibility to any personal information you may provide the third party.

All content on the Site (collectively, "materials") is protected by copyright law and other intellectual property laws, and unless otherwise indicated is owned by FatPassport Inc and/or it's licensors (as the case may be). The materials from the Site are available for informational and non-commercial offline use, provided that: The materials are not modified in any way; all copyright and proprietary notices and markings are retained and reproduced in their entirety on any copy made from any material on the Site; and FatPassport has, at its sole discretion, given its prior written approval to such use of the Site's materials.

The Site may use cookies to personalize or enhance your user experience. A cookie is a small text file that is placed on your hard disk by a Web server. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. Cookies are uniquely assigned to you, and can only be read by a web server in the domain that issued the cookie to you. One of the primary purposes of cookies is to provide a convenience feature to save you time. For example, if you personalize a web page, or navigate within a site, a cookie helps the site to recall your specific information on subsequent visits. Hence, this simplifies the process of delivering relevant content and eases site navigation by providing and saving your preferences and login information as well as providing personalized functionality.

Web pages on the Site may contain electronic images known as Web beacons - sometimes called single-pixel gifs - that allow FatPassport or its partners to count users who have visited those pages, and to deliver co-branded services. FatPassport may include Web beacons in promotional email messages or newsletters to determine whether messages have been opened and acted upon. Some of these Web beacons may be placed by third party service providers to help determine the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns or email communications. These Web beacons may be used by these service providers to place a persistent cookie on your computer. This allows the service provider to recognize your computer each time you visit certain pages or emails and compile anonymous information in relation to those page views, which in turn enables us and our service providers to learn which advertisements and emails bring you to our website and how you use the Site. FatPassport does not attempt to use Web beacons to collect or access your personal information.

FatPassport has the discretion to occasionally update this privacy statement. When we do, we will also revise the "updated" date at the top of this privacy page. We encourage you to periodically review this privacy statement to stay informed about how we are helping to protect the personal information we collect. Your continued use of the service constitutes your agreement to this privacy statement and any updates.
