The Seychelles are the tropical island paradise you always dreamed of. Travelers come here to relax on some of the best beaches in the world, and to take in some of the finest natural scenery you’ll ever see. Think Tahiti or Hawaii, except prettier and without the crowds.

The Seychelles is a very upscale, expensive place. If you’re not on a luxury budget, then you should probably go elsewhere, as rooms under $200 a night are not common. However, if you have deep pockets, there are some outstanding hotels and resorts willing to take hundreds of dollars a night for a room.

If you want to do something other than laze on the beach, then watersports and hiking are good options. Nearby scuba diving is very good, and liveaboards can get you out to some of the best diving in the world. The salt-water fishing here is fantastic.

This is pretty much a hassle-free place, and is very safe. Weather is good all year around, with March/April and September/October being ideal.

It’s a good idea to ensure that your travel vaccinations are up-to-date before visiting the Seychelles.
